A review of propeller stall flutter

چکیده
Abstract Research on propeller performance has been reinvigorated by the development of new classes vehicles, ranging from electrically powered fixed-wing aircraft, to multi-rotor electrical Vertical Take-off/Landing (eVTOL) vehicles and tilt-rotor aircraft. These types aircraft utilise a range modern propellers, often with more advanced planforms features such as anhedral, operate in flight envelopes that are outwith traditional bands performance. The use materials (mostly composites), high geometrical sweeps variable angular velocities source unsteady aerodynamics, is coupled blade’s structural response. Data experimental investigations mostly historic, majority studies conducted before 1960, when aviation shifted rapidly towards jet propulsion. lack flutter boundary assessment. Modern propellers likely be pushed toward their boundaries, but database published to-date insufficient provide This review examines value available research status state-of-the-art numerical methods, order establish requirements for stall flutter.

Propeller Flaps: A Literature Review.
BACKGROUND/AIM Since their introduction in 1991, propeller flaps are increasingly used as a surgical approach to loss of substance. The aim of this study was to evaluate the indications and to verify the outcomes and the complication rates using this reconstructing technique through a literature review. MATERIALS AND METHODS A search on PubMed was performed using "propeller flap", "fasciocuta...
متن کاملFlow Field Analysis of Fully Coupled Computations of a Flexible Wing undergoing Stall Flutter
Fully coupled CFD-CSD simulations using HPCMP CREATETM-AV Kestrel were performed to compute the dynamic aeroelastic behavior of a torsionally flexible, finite aspect ratio NACA0018 wing. The uncontrolled dynamic instability resulted a very periodic limit cycle oscillation largely governed by the dynamic stall phenomenon. Three-dimensional effects due to the spanwise twist variation produces a l...
متن کاملÆolian tones and stall flutter of lengthy objects in fluid flows
We consider theoretically the spontaneous oscillations of an elastic cylinder in a streaming fluid flow. Such oscillations are responsible for stall flutter in e.g. turbine blades and bridges, or Æolian tones when in the acoustic range. The process of vortex separation from the oscillating surface is modelled as a self-excited oscillator. The vortex separation frequency remains synchronized wit...
متن کاملPropeller Flaps: A Review of Indications, Technique, and Results
In the last years, propeller flaps have become an appealing option for coverage of a large range of defects. Besides having a more reliable vascular pedicle than traditional flap, propeller flaps allow for great freedom in design and for wide mobilization that extend the possibility of reconstructing difficult wounds with local tissues and minimal donor-site morbidity. They also allow one-stage...
